ABOUT ME

Hey, I’m Matt Schmidt, a Motion Designer based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I focus on telling stories through motion, whether that means designing and animating boards, rigging characters, building motion systems, creating visual effects, or compositing elements.

I’m currently a junior at Kendall College of Art and Design, studying Digital Art and Design with a focus in Motion Design. I work on a wide range of projects, from more traditional motion graphics work to animated shorts, apps, and motion systems. I’m always creating, tinkering, and experimenting.

When I’m not working, you can find me in the gym or on the rock wall. I have a passion for creative problem-solving, whether it’s in motion design or figuring out how to hang a better heel hook.
