Using clever compositing and sound design to create a convincing atmosphere.

This is an ancient project, but for my skill level at the time, it was definitely the edge of what I could create. This was my very first time dabbling in DUIK, but my knowledge and skills in DUIK were practically nonexistent. I made up for the knowledge I lacked in DUIK in the compositing and sound department. I was and am very proud of how the visuals and sound came together, and I think it made for a fantastic project!

Fun fact: The tape sound at the beginning of the video was made on my older brother’s reel to reel tape machine. Which is also the reason the audio is slightly grainy!

Looping 2.5D shirt animation using Trapcode Form.

Through using trapcode forms layer mapping system, and a shadowlet you can create pretty convincing folds in a layer like this!

Isolated background animation, including speed lines created using Fractal Noise layers, and 15~ varieties of rocks looping upwards.

Background image in the very back animated using turbulent displace, displacement mapping, and loop flow.
